Burns, Arthur
(1904-87)
   American economist, of Austrian origin. Born in Stanislau, Austria, he studied at Columbia University. He served as economic adviser to presidents Eisenhower, Nixon, Carter and Ford. His publications include Economic Research and the Keynesian Thinking of Our Times, Measuring Business Cycles, Frontiers of Economic Knowledge and Prosperity Without Inflation.
